Grand total yardage from stash used was 105.5 yards! Whoa! That is more than a football field length, right?
And I used up 24 spools of thread. No way of knowing how many yards that was!
So it has been an amazing and productive year for finishes in my sewing studio. Thank you for letting me share my love of quilting with you. It is a crazy enthusiasm that warms my heart. Your comments below are always appreciated and keeps me going.
One more finish I am proud to share - because it was really, really hard and challenging! The directions were off, or maybe I was (most likely). With medallions, you can easily get off track if your measurements are wrong. It will throw off all other measurements throughout the remaining borders. Argh! So if you do not like adding borders, you might not like making a medallion quilt.
My Medallion Ca'rlene quilt top (by Susan McCombs) is finished and ready to be quilted! I hope to hand quilt this soon using a low loft batting.
It finishes so far without the binding at 79" x 79" and used 10 yards of fabrics. I had very little leftover too, which as you know, is unusual. It seems every project breeds more scraps. But I am not complaining!
