Christmas Lights Mystery Quilt
I have just finished the latest directions for Bonnie Hunter's Christmas Lights Mystery Quilts, featured in Quiltmaker Magazine. They are all finished and pressed and ready for the next step.
Anxious to see this come together. I do not generally like mystery quilts. They can waste fabrics and I always wish I had used other lights/darks and placements. But I trust Bonnie and I am delighted to begin this one. I only hope it will be large enough!
It is an easy pattern too. No tricky points to match other than a few on the star block. And they, like everything else, improve with practice. I had to pay close attention to the direction of the star points also. A few I had facing the wrong direction and had to "frog stitch" and do over. Other than those 2 small issues, this is a very easy and fun project.
Moda University Selvages Quilt Club
Another project on my design wall is a block of the month club by Hearts & Pines I have 2 more sets of blocks to complete and the finishing begins!! I LOVE the fabrics used in this quilt - Moda's Portabella Market. This quilt will definitely be on my bed as soon as I can get it quilted!!

The final setting for this quilt is very different as shown here. I only laid them up so I can see the colors together. I'll post the finished quilt when completed.
My Bolt Rack
My husband pulled through for me again. He made me a rack to hold my bolts of fabrics on. These fabrics were purchased when a quilt shop in town went out of business. Now when I purchase a large quantity of yards, I ask for an empty bolt to store it on. So much nicer than having them sitting on the cold floor.
